OUR HEART

At the heart of Amrita Fertility is our medical director, Dr. Markus Nitzschke, an infertility specialist from Germany. He received his specialist training at prestigious infertility clinics and university hospitals in France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, USA and Japan.   

Impressed by his training and multi-lingual skill set, fluent in German, French, Spanish and English, he was hired to establish and develop the German department for clinics in Barcelona between 2008 and 2012. He became one of Europe’s renowned pioneers in Natural Cycle and Minimal Stimulation IVF. Dr. Markus Nitzschke was involved in setting up and facilitating the first IVF program in Europe offering exclusively Natural Cycle IVF at the University Hospital of Bern in Switzerland.   

Dr. Markus Nitzscke has been published in international journals and is the author of several books on In Vitro Fertilization in Natural Cycle, Minimum Stimulation and Low Ovarian Reserve. He is regularly invited to give lectures at international conferences and workshops.  

Being entrepreneurial bent he has established clinics in Nepal, India and Cambodia using his Natural Cycle IVF protocols. Together with other innovative experts in this field, he has developed efficient and proven alternative treatment options for patients with low ovarian reserve and premature ovarian failure.   

In 2020 he has decided to return to Barcelona to open Amrita Fertility, the first infertility clinic in Europe that not only offers Natural IVF services but specializes in treating patients with a low ovarian reserve and other challenging cases by offering a choice of highly specialized anIVF solutions.
