The ROPA Method means the Reception of Oocytes from the Couple, and it is an excellent treatment aimed at women who are married and who want to live shared maternity to actively participate in the process of being mothers.
WHAT IS THE ROPA METHOD?
The ROPA Method is an In Vitro Fertilization treatment for couples of women to be mothers together. One mother is the biological mother because she provides her eggs. Tthe other mother is the surrogate because she is the gestation in her womb to the baby.
The Assisted Reproduction technique is like any other IVF in which the egg is fertilized, in this case, the egg of one of the mothers, with a donor sperm to obtain an embryo is later transferred to the uterus of the mother another mother.

WE SUGGEST ROPA METHOD TO
The treatment is for couples of married women who want to have a baby together, one being the biological mother (the one who provides the egg) and the other the surrogate mother (who carries the baby).
Since it is a non-anonymous egg donation, Assisted Reproduction Law 14/2006 establishes that women who perform the ROPA Method must be married, thus both contracting the same obligations and legal rights with the future baby.
In this way, the maternity of the woman who provides the egg (genetic mother) is legal.
This reproductive treatment is also for women who have the following medical reasons:
- One of the women has low oocyte quality.
- Low ovarian reserve.
- Some chromosomal or genetic alteration.
- Or that she has not obtained results with some other assisted reproductive technique.
ANTES DE OFRECERTE EL TRATAMIENTO MÁS ADECUADO, REALIZAMOS UN DIAGNÓSTICO PREVIO
Para la realización del Método ROPA se recomienda hacer algunas pruebas previas a la paciente para confirmar el diagnóstico y saber si el tratamiento es el más indicado.
La pruebas recomendadas para hacer el Método ROPA son:
- Un análisis hormonal.
- Una ecografía ginecológica para comprobar la reserva ovárica de la paciente, también para descartar posibles patologías en el útero y en ovarios.
¿EN QUÉ CONSISTE EL MÉTODO ROPA?
El Método ROPA es una Fecundación In Vitro, muy similar a la ovodonación, pero con la utilización de los óvulos de la pareja, una muestra de semen de donante y el útero de la madre gestante.
